| Iyappa Swamy poojas are conducted in the Murugan Temple at a very grand scale on the last Saturday, of every month. Lot of people including Iyappa devotees attend this pooja ceremony. Indian as well as Sri Lankan worshippers and devotees attend the Iyappa Swamy pooja festival on the last Saturday of every month. All the devotees sit together and start reciting Bajanai recitals. The Iyappa Swamy pooja ceremony will start commencing from 5 P.M. and goes on till 9 p.m. Many new faces could be seen praying on the pooja days. In the month of November every year the Iyappa Swamy fasting starts with the mandala poojas and mandala pooja will go on for forty one days. At the end of the mandals pooja the devotees start visiting Sabari Malai and full fill their vows and after viewing the Makarajothi the devotees return to their respective houses.
